Hoang Gia was founded in May 2007 in Phu Cat, on the coastal plain of Binh Dinh, with the aim of becoming a high-quality furniture manufacturer. The first workshops were modest and the process was largely manual. What the founders had was a clear idea of the standard they wanted to reach and no shortcut to it.

Nineteen years later the same building holds laser cutting, automatic welding, powder coating, woodworking, upholstery, finishing, packing, a design studio and a photography studio. Each was brought inside rather than bought from someone else, and each was added because a customer needed something we could not yet do well enough.

That is the company in a sentence. A complete house — design through to the photograph a buyer sees — and a standing willingness to change the factory rather than the customer’s drawing.
